Squad Rules
Your league can customise its lineup size, bench size, minimum and maximum squad players by position, and maximum players from one real-world club. Draft picks and transfers must leave a valid squad. Visit the league’sSettings page to see its rules.
Gameweek Deadline
Your lineup and ordered bench are saved at the gameweek deadline. Changes made after that snapshot apply to future gameweeks, not the gameweek already underway. Lineup changes and transfers may be briefly unavailable while the game advances to a new gameweek or waivers are processing.Valid Formations

So for example, a 4-3-3 formation is valid, but a 6-3-1 formation is not, because more than 5 defenders are not allowed.
The allowed formations can also be customised by the league admin. To view the formation rules for your league, visit the
Settings page from the dashboard.
Substitutes
If auto subs are enabled for your league, a starter who records no minutes is replaced after the gameweek with an eligible player from your bench. The order of your substitutes matters. We use the first bench player, from left to right inPitch view, who recorded minutes and keeps the lineup valid. Bench players who did not play or would create an invalid formation are skipped.
If no bench player is eligible, no substitution is made. Auto subs can be enabled or disabled by the commissioner.
