# API Source: https://docs.draftfantasy.com/essentials/api Use our API to access your league data. The API returns data in JSON format. Make requests on the domain for the competition you play — for example, Premier League uses `https://app.draftfantasy.com`. ## League You can grab your league data via our API by making a `GET` request to `/api/v1/league/` on the correct competition domain. You'll need to replace `` with your actual league ID. For example, if you wanted to get the league with an ID of `abcde`, you would make a request to `https://app.draftfantasy.com/api/v1/league/abcde`. ## Draft After the draft is complete, you can grab the draft data by making a `GET` request to `/api/v1/league//draft` on the correct competition domain. You'll need to replace `` with your actual league ID. For example, if you wanted to get the draft with an ID of `abcde`, you would make a request to `https://app.draftfantasy.com/api/v1/league/abcde/draft`. ## Players You can also download player data as a CSV — see [CSV Export](/essentials/csv). # App Source: https://docs.draftfantasy.com/essentials/app How to install the app ## iPhone App (Early Access) The Draft Fantasy iPhone app is in early access. The commissioner can adjust individual team budgets from the league `Settings` page. On each turn there's a nomination phase, and a bidding phase. In the nomination phase, the selected manager chooses a player to nominate for the auction. The nominator automatically bids £1 for the player, and then there's a period of time where managers can bid. The manager who makes the highest valid bid wins the player, and the amount paid is subtracted from their balance. Nomination order follows the same reversing order as a snake draft. Teams whose squads are already full are skipped. The draft continues until everyone has filled the squad size configured for the league. Your bid must leave at least £1 for every squad place that will still be empty after the purchase. This means your maximum available bid can be lower than the balance shown for your team. ### Max bids You can set max bids before or during the draft. This is the most you are willing to pay for a player. We will automatically bid up to this amount for you. But we will only ever bid £1 more than the previous highest bid up to the maximum you have set. You can continue to bid manually even after the maximum bid has been reached. But we won't automatically bid for you after this point. For example, if you set a max bid of £80 for a player, and someone else bids £50, we will automatically bid £51 for you. But if someone bids £80, we will no longer bid for you. When several managers have max bids, the price rises only enough to beat the next-highest valid max bid, without exceeding the leading manager's maximum. For example, if you have a max bid of £80 for a player, and someone else has a max bid of £70, we will automatically bid £71 for you. ### Time per pick The time per pick is set for each league. It's typically 30 seconds. But there will be a minimum of 10 seconds after any bid is made. For example, if you make a bid with 20 seconds remaining, the clock will continue to count down from 20 seconds. But if you make a bid with 3 seconds remaining, we will reset the clock to 10 seconds so that everyone has enough time to make a higher bid. ### When the clock runs out If the clock runs out in the nomination phase, we automatically nominate a valid player for the nominator. This will be as follows: * The valid player with their highest max bid. * If none is available, the valid player with the highest Draft Fantasy rating. When the clock runs out in the bidding phase, the team with the highest bid wins the player. ### Remaining budget By default there is no benefit to having budget left after the auction. The budget is only used for the draft and has no purpose once the draft is complete. The exception is FAAB waivers. If your commissioner sets an "Auction leftover → FAAB" rate, any budget you have left when the draft finishes is converted into FAAB waiver budget at that rate. For example, at a rate of 1, £30 of unspent budget becomes £30 of FAAB; at a rate of 2 it becomes £60. When this is enabled, spending every last pound in the auction is not always the best move. # Commissioner Tools Source: https://docs.draftfantasy.com/essentials/commissioner Advanced tools for running your league The commissioner is the manager who created the league. The commissioner can also make other managers league admins from the league `Settings` page — admins can manage the league, while ownership stays with the commissioner. ## League Settings Most league rules can be changed from `Settings` → `Edit` at any time, including the waiver format, trades on or off, auto subs, playoffs, custom scoring, and squad rules. A few structural settings — draft type, visibility, lineup and bench size, and team count — are locked once the draft starts. Before the draft, the commissioner can also remove teams from the league or delete the league entirely. ## Draft Controls During the draft, admins can start, pause, resume, or restart the draft, set a custom draft order beforehand, and use `Force Pick` to end a turn. See [Snake Draft](/essentials/snake#league-admin) for details. ## Fixing Things Mid-Season The `Commissioner Tools` section on the league `Settings` page has tools for sorting out problems during the season: ### Edit Team Budgets Adjust any team's FAAB waiver budget or leftover auction balance. ### Force a Trade Swap a player onto a team without needing anyone to accept. Pick the team, the player to drop, and the player to bring in — owned or unowned. The final squads must remain valid, and the move is recorded in the league's trade history as an admin-forced trade. This is useful for correcting mistakes or completing a deal agreed outside the app. Forced trades are available in private leagues once the draft is complete, and can't be undone. ### Force-Drop Players Drop every player from a team and replace them with low-rated unowned players. Useful for freeing up a squad when a manager has abandoned the league. This can't be undone. ### Reverse a Trade Admins see a `Reverse` button next to each completed trade in the League Trades history. Trades that included FAAB can't be reversed automatically — adjust the teams' FAAB budgets manually instead. ## Cups Commissioners can create and manage knockout cups from the `Cup Setup` page. See [Cups and Playoffs](/essentials/cups). # CSV Export Source: https://docs.draftfantasy.com/essentials/csv How to download your league data in CSV format. ## Download Players You can download a CSV spreadsheet of players from `/api/players/csv` on the domain for the competition you play. For example, Premier League uses [https://app.draftfantasy.com/api/players/csv](https://app.draftfantasy.com/api/players/csv). Add `?leagueId=` to calculate the exported points using that league's custom scoring. ## League and draft data League and draft data is available in JSON format via our [API](/essentials/api). To convert the data to CSV, you can use a tool like [JSON to CSV](https://www.convertcsv.com/json-to-csv.htm). # Cups and Playoffs Source: https://docs.draftfantasy.com/essentials/cups Qualification, seeding, progression, and tie rules Cups and playoffs are separate knockout competitions. A league can use either, both, or neither. ## Custom cups The commissioner sets up a cup from the league's `Cup Setup` page. A cup can have 2, 4, 8, 16, or 32 teams and can use one to four legs in each round. ### Qualification and seeding The commissioner can select the top teams automatically or choose every first-round pairing manually. For automatic qualification, standings are taken at the end of the gameweek before round one starts: * Head-to-head leagues rank teams by head-to-head table points, then total fantasy points. * Classic leagues rank teams by total fantasy points. If those values are also equal, a consistent internal team-ID order is used. Automatic seeding is not random. The first round pairs the highest seed with the lowest, the second-highest with the second-lowest, and so on. The bracket then continues in order: the winner of tie 1 plays the winner of tie 2. ### Legs and aggregate scores Fantasy points are added across every leg of a tie. Home and away labels reverse on even-numbered legs, but there is no away-points rule. If the aggregate score is level in a round that must produce teams for the next round, the tiebreak order is: 1. Higher stored seed 2. Higher total fantasy points in the league 3. Higher head-to-head table points 4. A consistent internal team-ID fallback Manually paired cups do not normally have stored seeds, so their tiebreak starts with total fantasy points. The result is deterministic, not random. The league's draw-threshold setting does not apply. This progression tiebreak is only applied when creating another round. A cup final that finishes level on aggregate does not currently receive an automatic champion. Contact support if this happens in your league. If automatic progression is enabled, the next fixtures are created after the preceding gameweek has finished and its points are available. Otherwise, the commissioner generates each round from `Cup Setup`. ## Playoffs Playoffs are a built-in top-four competition scheduled for competition-specific gameweeks. They are separate from custom cups. The exact gameweeks are shown in `Settings`; they are fixed by the competition and are not moved by your league's final-gameweek setting, so regular fixtures and playoffs can overlap. The top four are taken from the standings when the semi-finals are created, after the competition's playoff qualification gameweek finishes. Head-to-head table points are considered first, followed by total fantasy points. In a Classic league, total fantasy points normally decide the order. The semi-finals are seed 1 vs seed 4 and seed 2 vs seed 3, followed by a final. Under the current progression rules, if a semi-final score is level, the team with more total fantasy points in the league advances. If that is also level, head-to-head table points are used. If every value is equal, the last fallback is random. A playoff final that finishes level does not currently receive an automatic winner. Contact support if this happens in your league. # Custom Views Source: https://docs.draftfantasy.com/essentials/custom-views Filter the player table and choose your own stat columns The player table on the `Transfers` page and in the draft room has a `Views` menu that controls which players you see and which stat columns are shown. ## Default Views Everyone gets a set of built-in views: one per position, plus `Watchlist`, `Hide injured`, `Hide doubtful`, and `Easy fixtures`. The position views also adjust the columns — for example, the Goalkeepers view swaps attacking stats for saves and goals conceded. ## Building Your Own Views Click `New view` to build a custom view: * **Filters**: position, club, ownership, fixture difficulty, injured and doubtful players, your watchlist, and minimum thresholds on any stat — for example "Minutes is at least 500". * **Columns**: choose from around 40 stat columns across scoring, attacking, defending, and general play. Columns your league's scoring doesn't use are hidden automatically. You can duplicate any view — including the built-in ones — as a starting point, and edit or delete your own views from the same menu. Views are saved per team, so each of your leagues has its own set. Anyone can try the view builder, but saving custom views requires a Pro subscription. # FAQ Source: https://docs.draftfantasy.com/essentials/faq Frequently asked questions ### How much does Draft Fantasy cost? Pricing varies by competition. Some games are free to play, while paid games require Premium after the draft to unlock the full season. Check the `Pricing` page in the game you want to play for current prices. ### What's the difference between Free and Premium? For paid competitions, the free version lets you complete the draft and see if the platform is a good fit for your league. Premium unlocks full league gameplay for the competition, including team changes, scoring, and trades. You can upgrade your league at any time. ### What happens if only part of my league upgrades to Premium? The league will remain in the free version until everyone upgrades to the paid version. You can also purchase the single league package which automatically upgrades your league to the paid version. ### What's the difference between Premium and Pro? Premium unlocks the season for a paid league. Pro is an optional individual subscription for advanced features such as [custom player views](/essentials/custom-views) and additional stats. Pro is not required to play. ### How is the winner decided when a cup tie finishes level? Cup ties are broken deterministically, not randomly: aggregate score, then total fantasy points, then head-to-head table points, then a fixed internal team-ID order. Playoff semi-finals use the same order but fall back to a coin-flip in the rare case every value is level. See [Cups and Playoffs](/essentials/cups) for the full qualification, aggregate, and tiebreak rules, including the current behavior for tied finals. ### How do I contact support? You can contact support via email at [support@draftfantasyfootball.co.uk](mailto:support@draftfantasyfootball.co.uk). # League Formats Source: https://docs.draftfantasy.com/essentials/league-formats Classic and head-to-head league rules Draft Fantasy leagues can use either Classic or Head to Head standings. You can see your league's format and other rules on its `Settings` page. ## Classic leagues Teams are ranked by their cumulative fantasy points through the league's final gameweek. ## Head-to-head leagues Each team plays one opponent per gameweek. The team with the higher fantasy score wins the match and earns 3 table points. A draw earns each team 1 table point, and a loss earns 0. If teams have the same number of head-to-head table points, the team with more total fantasy points ranks higher. Head-to-head fixtures are created when the draft finishes. If the competition has already started, the fixtures begin in the next gameweek. The schedule uses randomized round-robin cycles through the league's final gameweek, so some opponents may be played more often than others when a cycle is incomplete. ### Leagues with an odd number of teams No team has a bye. One team plays the league average each gameweek. The opponent score is the mean fantasy score of every team in the league for that gameweek, and the usual win, draw, and loss rules apply. ### Draw threshold The commissioner can choose how close two scores must be to count as a draw. The threshold is inclusive: * `0` or an empty setting means only identical scores draw. * A threshold of `3` means scores of 44–47 count as a draw. The draw threshold applies to regular head-to-head league matches. It does not apply to cup aggregates or playoff progression. ## Final gameweek The final gameweek is the last gameweek included in regular league standings and head-to-head fixtures. Its points count. Cups and enabled playoffs use their own schedules, so they can overlap with or continue after regular league fixtures. # Mock Drafts Source: https://docs.draftfantasy.com/essentials/mock-drafts Practice drafting against bots before the real thing A mock draft is a practice draft. It works like a real draft, but the league ends as soon as the draft completes — there are no lineups, transfers, or scoring afterwards. ## Starting a Mock Draft Create a league as normal and tick `Mock Draft` (in the mobile app, set the mode to `Mock`). All the usual league options apply: auction or snake, 2 to 20 teams, and your choice of pick time. You can invite others with the normal invite link. When the draft starts, any empty spots are filled by bots — so you can also run a mock draft entirely on your own. ## During the Draft Bots pick for themselves almost instantly, so a solo mock draft moves quickly. Bot teams are labelled with a `Bot` badge. Both draft types are supported: in auction mocks, bots nominate and bid against you. ## After the Draft When the draft finishes you can view and share the draft results board. Because the league is just for practice, you can't set a lineup or make transfers. Mock drafts are free and you can run as many as you like. They appear in their own section on your dashboard, which you can hide once you're done practising. # Notifications Source: https://docs.draftfantasy.com/essentials/notifications Emails and push notifications, and how to control them ## What We Send * **Gameweek recaps** (email only): sent once the gameweek's points are in. One email covers all your leagues in a competition, with your result, league position and movement, your best player, and Team of the Week. * **Draft reminders**: sent 5 minutes before your draft starts. * **Trade offers**: when another manager offers you a trade. * **Trade activity**: when trades are completed in your league. * **New players**: when new players are added to the game. New players go on waivers first — see [Waivers](/essentials/waivers). You'll also receive a few one-off emails when you sign up, create or join a league, and complete your draft. ## Managing Your Settings On the website, go to `Account` → `Notification settings`. In the mobile app, go to `More` → `Notifications`. Your preferences are shared between the website and the app. Each notification type has separate email and push toggles. For gameweek recaps you can also choose which of your leagues send them — handy if you're in a lot of leagues. Every recap email includes a link to mute that league directly. ## Push Notifications To receive push notifications you first need to enable them on your device: * **Website / web app**: click `Enable Push` on the notification settings page. * **Mobile app**: tap `Enable push notifications` on the Notifications screen. Tapping a notification takes you straight to the relevant page, such as the draft room or your trade offers. # Points Source: https://docs.draftfantasy.com/essentials/points How you score points You can view scoring options for your league by visiting the `Settings` page for your league. You can find a link to this page on the dashboard. The default scoring system is shown below but you can customise to your needs. ### Default scoring for Premier League | Stat | Goalkeeper | Defender | Midfielder | Forward | | ----------------------- | ----------------- | ---------------------- | ---------------------- | ---------------------- | | \<60 mins played | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | | 60+ mins played | 2 | 2 | 2 | 2 | | Goal scored | 10 | 6 | 5 | 4 | | Assist | 3 | 3 | 3 | 3 | | Goal conceded | -1 per 2 conceded | -1 per 2 conceded | 0 | 0 | | Clean sheet | 4 | 4 | 1 | 0 | | Yellow card | -1 | -1 | -1 | -1 | | Red card | -3 | -3 | -3 | -3 | | Save | 1 per 3 saves | 0 | 0 | 0 | | Own goal | -2 | -2 | -2 | -2 | | Penalty missed | -2 | -2 | -2 | -2 | | Penalty saved | 5 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | Defensive contributions | 0 | 2 pts per 10, 2-pt cap | 2 pts per 12, 2-pt cap | 2 pts per 12, 2-pt cap | | Bonus points | 1-3 | 1-3 | 1-3 | 1-3 | ### Fantasy assists The **Premier League counts FPL fantasy assists**. These can be awarded for more than the final pass before a goal — for example, when a player wins a penalty that is scored, or when a teammate scores after the player's shot is blocked, saved or hits the woodwork. The **World Cup also counts fantasy assists** as a special exception. **All other games count only official assists**, meaning the final pass or touch that directly leads to a goal. They do not award fantasy assists for blocked shots, rebounds or penalties won. ## Custom scoring To change the scoring system, visit the league `Settings` page, click `Edit`, and then click `Edit Custom Scoring`. You will need to be the league admin to make changes. As you edit values, a live preview shows how your changes would affect real player points, so you can check the impact of your scoring system before saving. ### Available stats You can set the points awarded for each of the following, separately for each position: * **Appearance and attacking**: minutes played (under 60, and 60 or more), goal scored, assist, expected goal (xG), expected assist (xA). * **Goalkeeping and defending**: goal conceded (per number conceded), expected goals conceded, clean sheet, save (per number of saves), penalty saved, defensive contribution (with its own threshold and cap), tackle, interception, block, clearance. * **Discipline**: yellow card, red card, own goal, penalty missed, foul committed, foul won, dispossession. * **Passing and creativity**: pass, accurate pass %, key pass, cross, big chance created. * **Shooting and duels**: shot on target, shot off target, aerial won, touch, dribble. * **Bonus**: BPS and Bonus multipliers, and the Kante rule (points per set number of tackles and interceptions). ### Data availability by competition Not every stat is recorded in every competition, because different games use different data sources: * The **Premier League** uses official FPL data. It supports BPS, Bonus points, Defensive contributions and expected stats (xG, xA, expected goals conceded), but not the individual match events such as key passes, crosses, tackles, dribbles or shots. * **Other competitions** (La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, MLS, Brazil, the Champions League and the World Cup) use a detailed match-stats provider. They support passing, pass accuracy, tackles, interceptions, blocks, dribbles, shots, fouls and cards, but not BPS, Bonus points or Defensive contributions. BPS, Bonus points and Defensive contributions are hidden from the scoring editor in competitions that do not support them. Any other stat your competition does not record simply scores zero, even if it still appears in the editor. ### Defensive contributions A defensive contribution is a combined total of defensive actions recorded for one player in one match: | Player position | Actions that count | Default award | | --------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------- | | Goalkeeper | None | No points | | Defender | Clearances, blocks, interceptions and tackles | 2 points at 10 contributions | | Midfielder or forward | Clearances, blocks, interceptions, tackles and ball recoveries | 2 points at 12 contributions | A ball recovery is counted when a player wins or collects the ball and secures possession for their team. Recoveries count for midfielders and forwards, but not for defenders. The default award is calculated separately for each match and is capped at 2 points. For example, a defender with 20 contributions still receives 2 points, not 4. You can change this using three custom scoring fields: * `Defensive contribution` is the number of points awarded each time the threshold is reached. * `Per no of defensive contributions` is the threshold. * `Max points from defensive contributions` is the most a player can receive in one match. Set it to `0` for no cap. For example, settings of `2`, `10` and `2` award 2 points at 10 contributions, with a maximum of 2 points per match. ### Accurate pass percentage The `Accurate pass %` custom scoring field has no percentage threshold or minimum number of attempted passes. It awards the value you enter for every percentage point of a player's recorded pass completion in that match. For example, if you set it to `0.1` and a player completes 84% of their passes, they receive 8.4 points. Setting it to `1` would award 84 points. This field cannot currently award a one-off number of points for reaching a chosen percentage. This is separate from pass completion in the Bonus Points System (BPS). BPS requires at least 30 attempted passes and uses the 70%, 80% and 90% bands shown below. ### Bonus points 1-3 points are awarded to the players that receive the most BPS (Bonus Points System) in a match. Bonus point ties are resolved as follows: * If there is a tie for first place, Players 1 & 2 will receive 3 points each and Player 3 will receive 1 point. * If there is a tie for second place, Player 1 will receive 3 points and Players 2 and 3 will receive 2 points each. * If there is a tie for third place, Player 1 will receive 3 points, Player 2 will receive 2 points and Players 3 & 4 will receive 1 point each. BPS is calculated as follows: | Action | BPS | | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ | --- | | Playing 1 to 60 minutes | 3 | | Playing over 60 minutes | 6 | | Goalkeepers and defenders scoring a goal | 12 | | Midfielders scoring a goal | 18 | | Forwards scoring a goal | 24 | | Assists | 9 | | Goalkeepers and defenders keeping a clean sheet | 12 | | Saving a penalty | 9 | | Save | 2 | | Successful open play cross | 1 | | Creating a big chance (a chance where the receiving player should score) | 3 | | For every 2 clearances, blocks and interceptions (total) | 1 | | For every 3 recoveries | 1 | | Key pass | 1 | | Successful tackle (net\*) | 2 | | Successful dribble | 1 | | Scoring the goal that wins a match | 3 | | Goalline clearance | 3 | | Foul won | 1 | | Shot on target | 2 | | 70 to 79% pass completion (at least 30 passes attempted) | 2 | | 80 to 89% pass completion (at least 30 passes attempted) | 4 | | 90%+ pass completion (at least 30 passes attempted) | 6 | | Goalkeeper/defender conceding a goal | -4 | | Conceding a penalty | -3 | | Missing a penalty | -6 | | Yellow card | -3 | | Red card | -9 | | Own goal | -6 | | Missing a big chance | -3 | | Making an error which leads to a goal | -3 | | Making an error which leads to an attempt at goal | -1 | | Being tackled | -1 | | Conceding a foul | -1 | | Being caught offside | -1 | | Shot off target | -1 | #### Enabling or disabling bonus points in custom scoring If you want bonus points on, then keep it set to 1-1-1-1 in the custom scoring system. If you want bonus points off, then set it to 0-0-0-0. You can leave BPS as is with 0-0-0-0, unless you want to award points for BPS scored. If you were to set Bonus to 2-2-2-2, then players would receive 2/4/6 points as bonus points. If you were to set BPS to 1-1-1-1, and a player scores 30 BPS, then they'd be awarded 30 points. ### Kante Points We added the Kante rule to award players like N'Golo Kanté that are critical in a match, but typically do not score well in fantasy football. Where N'Golo Kante would excel is tackles and interceptions, but in the default scoring system this stat does not earn any points. You can award players points for interceptions and tackles, but when we originally introduced Kante Points, this was not an option. For managers that prefer to use the original Kante points rules, we have added a setting to the scoring system for this. The Kante points rule would award 1 point for every 2 tackles and/or interceptions for midfielders and forwards. To set this, you can set `Tackle/Interception` to 1 and `Per no of tackles/interceptions` to 2 for midfielders and forwards. So it should look like this: | Player position | Tackle/Interception | Per no of tackles/interceptions | | --------------- | ------------------- | ------------------------------- | | Goalkeeper | 0 | 0 | | Defender | 0 | 0 | | Midfielder | 1 | 2 | | Forward | 1 | 2 | Of course, you can adjust these values to your liking. # Snake Draft Source: https://docs.draftfantasy.com/essentials/snake How to play snake draft In a snake draft, managers pick players one at a time. You can pick any unpicked player as long as the player fits into the squad constraints for the league. Each round, the pick order is reversed. Hence the name "Snake Draft". The order in a 5 person snake draft is as follows: **Round 1**: * Manager 1 picks a player. * Manager 2 picks a player. * Manager 3 picks a player. * Manager 4 picks a player. * Manager 5 picks a player. **Round 2**: * Manager 5 picks a player. * Manager 4 picks a player. * Manager 3 picks a player. * Manager 2 picks a player. * Manager 1 picks a player. **Round 3**: * Manager 1 picks a player. * Manager 2 picks a player. * Manager 3 picks a player. * Manager 4 picks a player. * Manager 5 picks a player. And so on. The draft ends when every manager has filled the league's configured squad size: lineup plus bench. The commissioner can arrange the draft order before it starts. If no complete custom order is set, the order is randomized when the draft starts. The initial waiver queue is the reverse of the draft order. ## Auto Picks If your clock expires, Draft Fantasy selects the first valid player in your auto-pick list. If none is valid, it selects the highest-rated valid player. You can also use the auto-pick list as a shortlist during the draft. With standard pick times of five minutes or less, a manager who has been offline for five minutes is fast-tracked to an automatic pick. Custom slow drafts over five minutes keep the full pick time. The commissioner can also end the current turn with `Force Pick`, which uses the same auto-pick rules. ## League Admin The league admin section is located at the top of the draft page. It will only be visible to league admins. The commissioner can make other managers league admins from the league `Settings` page. Admins can manage the league, while ownership stays with the commissioner. * League admin can end a user's turn before the timer runs out, by clicking "Force Pick" in the admin section at the top of the draft page. * League admin can pause the draft. * League admin can restart the draft. * League admin can change the draft order before the draft starts. For admin tools outside the draft, see [Commissioner Tools](/essentials/commissioner). # Set Your Lineup Source: https://docs.draftfantasy.com/essentials/team How to set your lineup To set your team click on the `Team` page on the dashboard. ## Squad Rules Your league can customise its lineup size, bench size, minimum and maximum squad players by position, and maximum players from one real-world club. Draft picks and transfers must leave a valid squad. Visit the league's `Settings` page to see its rules. ## Gameweek Deadline Your lineup and ordered bench are saved at the gameweek deadline. Changes made after that snapshot apply to future gameweeks, not the gameweek already underway. Lineup changes and transfers may be briefly unavailable while the game advances to a new gameweek or waivers are processing. ## Valid Formations The default formations allowed are: | Position | Minimum | Maximum | | ----------- | ------- | ------- | | Goalkeepers | 1 | 1 | | Defenders | 3 | 5 | | Midfielders | 2 | 5 | | Forwards | 1 | 3 | So for example, a 4-3-3 formation is valid, but a 6-3-1 formation is not, because more than 5 defenders are not allowed. The allowed formations can also be customised by the league admin. To view the formation rules for your league, visit the `Settings` page from the dashboard. ### Substitutes If auto subs are enabled for your league, every starter who records no minutes is replaced after the gameweek with an eligible player from your bench. The order of your substitutes matters. Working from left to right in `Pitch` view, each non-playing starter is replaced by the next bench player who recorded minutes and keeps the lineup valid. Bench players who did not play or would create an invalid formation are skipped, and each bench player can only come on once. If no bench player is eligible, no substitution is made. Auto subs can be enabled or disabled by the commissioner. # Transfers Source: https://docs.draftfantasy.com/essentials/transfers How to make transfers Transfers become available after the draft is complete. Go to the `Transfers` page to change your squad. There are 3 types of transfer: 1. **Free agent**: No one owns the player. The move is completed immediately, and the player you drop goes to waivers unless your league does not use waivers. 2. **Trade offer**: Another team owns the player. The receiving manager must accept the offer before it is completed. 3. **Waiver Requests**: See the [waivers](/essentials/waivers) page for more information. ## Trade Offers A trade must exchange the same number of players on each side, and every player requested must belong to the same other team. Both squads and lineups must still satisfy the league's size, position, and maximum-per-club rules when the trade is accepted. The proposing manager can cancel a pending offer. The receiving manager can accept or reject it. Because the trade is checked again on acceptance, an offer can become invalid if either squad changes while it is pending. Draft Fantasy does not impose a season-long transfer deadline. A commissioner can disable manager-to-manager trades, but free-agent pickups and waiver claims remain separate. Commissioners can also reverse or force trades when something needs fixing — see [Commissioner Tools](/essentials/commissioner). ### FAAB in trades In FAAB waiver leagues, FAAB can be included in trades by default, and a commissioner can turn this off. When it is on, either side of a trade can add FAAB to sweeten the deal, so you can trade players plus FAAB, or players for FAAB. Only one side of a trade can include FAAB, and the amount cannot be more than that team's remaining FAAB budget. When the trade is accepted, the FAAB moves between the teams along with the players. Trades that include FAAB cannot be reversed automatically. If one needs undoing, a commissioner adjusts the FAAB budgets manually. ## After a Transfer For one-for-one moves, Draft Fantasy tries to place the incoming player in the outgoing player's lineup or bench slot. It may rearrange the lineup and bench as needed to keep a valid formation, so check your lineup and bench order after any move. Your squad for a gameweek is saved at its deadline. Transfers made after that snapshot affect future gameweeks, not the gameweek already underway. # Waivers Source: https://docs.draftfantasy.com/essentials/waivers How waivers work Waivers give everyone a fair chance to pick up unowned players. When a player is on waivers, every manager in the league can put in a waiver request, and the player will be picked up by the manager who is highest in the waiver queue (or has made the largest bid for the player). There are 4 waiver formats you can choose from which are explained in greater detail below: 1. Waiver bids (FAAB) 2. Rolling 3. Weekly reset 4. None ## When Players Go On Waivers * All players go on waivers at the start of a gameweek. * All fixture players go on waivers at the start of a fixture. For example, if Man City play Arsenal at 10pm, then all Man City and Arsenal players will go on waivers at 10pm. * New players added to the game will go on waivers when added to the game. * When a player is dropped by a team, they go on waivers. ## When Players Go Off Waivers Players go off waivers each time waivers are processed. You can edit a pending FAAB bid or cancel a pending waiver request before processing begins. During the processing window, transfers and lineup changes are temporarily locked. ## Waiver Processing Days Waivers are processed every Tuesday and Friday at 10am UTC (GMT). This is 11am BST (British Summer Time). On rare occassions we may decide to add additional waiver processing days when consecutive gameweeks start very close together. For example, if a gameweek starts on Friday, and the next gameweek starts on Monday, then we may add an additional waiver processing day on Monday so that people have a chance to make changes before the new gameweek starts. This may happen once across the season depending on how the gameweeks fall. For the World Cup, waivers also run at 10am UTC on the morning of each new gameweek. If that morning is already a Tuesday or Friday, it is covered by the normal waiver schedule; otherwise, an extra waiver processing is added that day so managers can make changes before the new gameweek starts. ## Waiver Order The initial waiver queue order is set to the reverse draft order. When a successful waiver request is made, the manager drops to the bottom of the waiver queue. If you're in a league using the `Weekly Reset` format, then the waiver queue order is reset before the first scheduled waiver processing of the gameweek. ## Waiver Formats ### Waiver Bids (FAAB) Each manager is given a budget of £200 at the start of the season (the commissioner can adjust individual team budgets from the league `Settings` page). This budget is used to bid on players on waivers. In auction leagues, the commissioner can also set an "Auction leftover → FAAB" rate, which tops up this budget with any budget you had left when the draft finished. See [Remaining budget](/essentials/auction#remaining-budget). The player goes to the manager that made the highest bid. And that manager's budget is reduced by the amount of the bid. You can bid £0 for a player, so even if you run out of your waiver budget, you can pick up players on waivers. If two players make the same bid, then the waiver order works the same way as rolling waivers. Your budget is not reduced when you bid on a player, but fail to pick up the player. Your budget cannot go below £0. **Example:** * Man City buys Dani Olmo. * 3 managers in the league want him. * Alice bids £80 * Bob bids £95 * Charlie bids £150 Then Dani Olmo is picked up by Charlie, and his waiver budget goes from £200 to £50 (reduced by £150). Alice and Bob's budgets remain unchanged, so they'll be in a stronger position to pick up players later in the season. The order that waivers are processed is as follows: 1. The highest bid is processed first. 2. If two bids are tied, then the manager that is highest in the waiver queue has their bid processed first. 3. The bid is either accepted or rejected. It may be rejected if the manager's budget is insufficient, or it leads to an invalid squad. 4. Steps 1-3 are repeated until all pending waiver requests are either accepted or rejected. This means you cannot reorder your waiver requests unless two of your bids are for the same amount. ### Rolling The initial waiver order is set to the reverse draft order. Then each time a manager makes a successful waiver request, the manager is dropped to the bottom of the queue. The order is never reset. ### Weekly Reset The initial waiver order is set to the reverse draft order. Then each time a manager makes a successful waiver request, the manager is dropped to the bottom of the queue. The waiver order is reset before the first scheduled waiver processing of the gameweek to the reverse order of standings. So the team that is bottom of the league will be at the top of the waiver queue, giving them a chance to pick up the best player on waivers and catch up. For this reset, Head-to-Head leagues place teams with fewer table points first, followed by teams with fewer total fantasy points. Classic leagues use fewer total fantasy points. If the relevant values are equal, the existing queue order is retained. ### None If `None` is selected then your league will not have any waivers and players will always be free to pick up at any time. # Welcome Source: https://docs.draftfantasy.com/introduction Draft Fantasy is the home of draft fantasy football, with snake and auction games across club and international competitions. ## What is a draft?
